How to fix an inconsistent zoom in the camera application

In some cases images taken using the camera in 640x480 resolution at zoom level 2x appear at zoom level 1x. To correct this, complete these steps:

1. Go to the camera application, and press the Menu key.
2. Select Options.
3. Scroll to Picture size.
4. Select Medium or Large.
5. Press the Menu key and Save.
6. Set the Viewfinder mode to Full Screen or place a check mark next to Full Screen from the Menu list in the camera application.
