How to connect Nokia phone to computer

As of some fellow even still ask me how to connect Nokia phone to windows based computer as a first step before you do this and that to your mobile.

Requirement:
Nokia PC Suite
Compatible USB cable connector, Bluetooth, or infrared.
Windows based PC.

Nokia PC Suite is a software package used to establish an interface between Nokia mobile devices and computers that run Microsoft Windows operating system. Nokia PC Suite is proprietary software and is required to access certain aspects of Nokia handsets.

  1. Install Nokia PC Suite.exe to your PC and launch it.
  2. Connect your data cable, let it be recognized by your pc, some of them will install the driver directly or you have to insert cable data driver cd, it comes along with your phone box together with the cable.
  3. Select Settings> Manage connection> select cable connection
  4. Nokia PC Suite will prompt you to connect your cable to PC, then connect the other end of cable to phone.
  5. Select PC Suite on your phone screen.
  6. At the first time of connection, you have to wait until Get Connected finishes installing the required drivers.
Following screen will be shown once connection is established. Aside by cable, connection also can be done by buetooth or infra red.

Then it now can be used to
  • Transfer music, photos and video.
  • Manage files.
  • Install applications (exp: .sis or .jar)
  • Synchronize contact and calender.
  • Send Short Message Service (SMS) messages.
  • Act as a modem to connect the computer to the Internet.
  • Back up and restore phone and memory card.
  • Update phone software (Firmware)
  • Download maps for NokiaMaps.
