How to use Nokia Maps

To have Nokia Maps become GPS or Navigation System you need
1. Mobile phone ready with internet connection via GPRS. See your Internet Connection setting.
2. Nokia Maps application installed in built-in GPS cell phone.
3. Area/country Maps downloaded in your Nokia Maps.
4. Nokia Maps License.

All you have to do are:

A. LOCK/CATCH GPS SATELLITE SIGNAL
1. Open Nokia Maps application.
2. Go Online now? will prompt you then select YES.
3. If No Internet Connection comment appeared,
go OPTIONS---TOOLS---SETTING---INTERNET---DEFAULT ACCESS POINT---choose which is connection that Your Phone Operator will connect you to Internet, I stay in Qatar with QTEL, so i choose MOZAIC MOB.
Or you can use WIFI connection instead. Then back to Main Menu.
4. Go OPTIONS---TOOLS---GO ONLINE
5. Face your cell phone directly to the sky, so GPS satellites can be caught by your cell phone.
These steps are required at a first time locking GPS signal, when you caught the signal then you can disconnect your internet connection by OPTIONS---TOOLS---GO OFFLINE
Next time whenever you need to lock your satellite signal you dont need to have it ONLINE, it can be done even you remove your simcard ;)

GPS Signal bar shown green means it is ready now.

B. SEARCH A PLACE WHERE DO YOU LIKE TO GO
1. By Address---OPTIONS---SEARCH---ADDRESS
2. By Favorite---OPTIONS---SEARCH---FAVORITE
3. By Point Of Interest (POI)---OPTIONS---SEARCH---PLACES

C. START NAVIGATION
1. Walk to
2. Drive to
Tips:
-you can set the route as fastest or shortest through navigation setting
