To check your Nokia Maps version, open Nokia Maps application on your device.

Online you can check Weather forecasts & Events around your location or any other in the world. Find thousands of listings for sights, restaurants, hotels, shops, nightlife and more with free travel content by Lonely Planet and Michelin, available for over 1000 destinations. You can even book a hotel room via HRS Hotels, currently available in Germany and Finland, coming to more countries soon.

Share your location with friends on Facebook and let them know what you are up to, right from Ovi Maps. Your status update, photo and location appear on your Facebook page. Your location can be viewed on the map within the Ovi Maps Facebook Application.

What's different from the previous release (v3.03)?
We have made a few tweaks to improve the performance of Ovi Maps:

• Improved positioning speed and accuracy
• Map zooming with faster speed
• Improved search for cities with zoom out to city level

To get the latest map data, we recommend you to use Map Loader. It will detect which version of maps you have and update accordingly. Just follow the on-screen instructions.

Ovi Maps for web is compatible with all desktop browsers. For the full experience, including 3D maps, we recommend the following browsers:

* Before installing Ovi Maps, please check that you have the latest phone software version for your device. Enter *#0000# on your phone's home screen and check if the version is greater than v2.xxx (N97) or greater than v3.1xxx (5800). If needed you can update your phone software using Nokia Software Updater.

Known issues (26^th February 2010)

Signing in crash for Nokia E72, E55 and E52 users: We have noticed that for some users when synchronising favourites, trying to share my location or signing in to the Ovi account that it crashes. Please following the instructions that can be found on the Nokia Support page.

Potential incompatibilities with other apps: Due to incompatibilities of underlying Open C/C++ components, installing this beta may cause some other apps to stop working. If this happens, please revert back to the commercial Ovi Maps version.

With Ovi Maps, you can easily find your current location, places nearby, and addresses you are looking for, and save all your favourite places. Get to your destination safe and sound with Drive and Walk, real-time car and pedestrian navigation. If you preload the map data on your compatible Nokia device with Map Loader, you can also use all these features and services offline.

Online you can check out the weather forecasts and events around you. Explore premium travel content by Lonely Planet and Michelin for over 1000 destinations, and find thousands of listings for sights, restaurants, hotels, shops, nightlife, and more.

What is different from the previous release?

• Improved application start up
• Brand new menu with one touch access to content and services
• New and improved one-box search
• New features in car navigation service: ‘Drive home’ and ‘Track me’,
• New features in the pedestrian navigation service: ‘Walk home’ and ‘Track me’,
