PSP Custom Firmware 5.50 GEN-D

The new custom firmware from GENyUS and Yoshihiro is now available for download.

Here's what's new:

* All features of 5.50GEN-B2 are available
* Ability to run 5.51 + games without having to patch it (UMD or ISO)
* Possibility to launch PSN demos requiring 5.51 + without having to patch them (as MGS for example)
* Possibility to connect to the Playstation Store by the using of MEDIAGO, to retrieve games and goodies without having to install Fake USB or other complicated stuff.

PSP Custom Firmware 5.50 GEN-B2

It's been a while since we last heard from GENyUS and the rest of the GEN team but now their back to release a bug fix update for Custom Firmware 5.50GEN-B. The latest update fixes some compatibility issues from the previous release.

Since this is only a patch update, you need to have Custom Firmware 5.50GEN-B installed in your system before applying the patch. (qj)

PSP Quran 1.4

The Raise, a website dedicated to give proper information about Islam to PlayStation Portable gamers, has recently noted that they were able to demonstrate their Islamic Magazine, and their beta version of Al-Quran for PSP.


They note that they plan to distribute their Al-Quran for the PSP free of charge, and add that their Magazine will be free as well.

The group is based on 2 authors, 2 artists, 1 animator, and 10 volunteers from the Bureau of Information and Promotion, Usrah Institution, Multimedia University Cyberjava Malaysia. They note that they plan to release the magazine monthly.
